LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - The Lake Charles Fire Department responded to a fire at an animal rescue facility on Corbina Road around 11 a.m. Tuesday.

The fire burned a residence located on the property of the Safe From Slaughter Equine Rescue, a nonprofit organization that rescues and rehabilitates animals.

Firefighters Respond to Blaze at Animal Rescue Facility on Corbina Road 🐾💔

Early this morning, firefighters were called to the scene of a devastating fire at an animal rescue facility located on Corbina Road.
