According to community members, one of the main attractions of nudism is the lack of social barriers. As one resident explained, "I already knew a bunch of people here from my days entertaining. I knew I was walking in with a family." Another resident added, "When you're not wearing clothes, you don't know who dropped out of high school or who's the doctorate. Or who's on a fixed income or who's the multimillionaire?"
The relaxed and inclusive atmosphere of nudist communities seems to be a major draw for many people.
