Blackpink Renews Contract With YG Entertainment

We are thrilled to announce that the K-pop sensation Blackpink has renewed their contracts with YG Entertainment. According to a regulatory filing by the company on Wednesday, the four members of the group - Jisoo, Lisa, Jennie, and Rose - have signed new contracts, causing YG's KOSDAQ-listed shares to surge by 26% to KRW60,700 by midday.

In a statement, YG Entertainment confirmed that the board has "completed a resolution about renewing the contracts with Blackpink's four members." This news comes after months of speculation that the group might leave YG Entertainment and sign with another agency.

Blackpink was formed under YG in 2016 and has since become one of the most popular and successful K-pop groups worldwide. Their recent world tour included 66 performances in 34 cities and was watched by 2.
