15 LPGA Players Ranked Outside Top 200 Are On Track For Paris Olympics

According to the International Golf Federation (IGF), 15 LPGA players ranked outside the top 200 are on track to qualify for the 60-player field at the Paris Olympics. The qualifying cutoff date is June 24, or just after the KPMG Women's PGA Championship, giving players roughly six months to improve their ranking. The women's Olympic event will take place Aug. 7-10, immediately following the men's competition.

The IGF uses the Rolex Rankings to create its Olympic Golf Rankings, with the top 15 players in the world eligible for Paris. However, there is a limit of four players from any given country, and currently, the United States is the only country with four players. The host country, France, is ensured at least one spot, which will go to Celine Boutier, who is currently ranked No. 3.

With a maximum of four players from countries like the U.S. and South Korea, several highly decorated players may be left at home.
