Grassroots Sports Projects Across Wales To Receive Nearly

Sixty-four grassroots sports projects across Wales are set to receive a share of £4 million in funding as part of a UK government initiative to promote physical activity and mental wellbeing. The projects, which range from upgrading changing rooms and pavilions to installing state-of-the-art 3G artificial grass pitches and floodlights, will benefit from the funding in 2023/24, with £300,000 already allocated from next year's budget.

Work on 63 of the projects has already begun, with the final one set to start in the spring.

The funding is part of a continued drive by the UK government, the Football Association of Wales, and the Cymru Football Foundation to get more people active and improve access to grassroots sports facilities.
