Batesville Lady Bulldogs Advance in Ripley County Tournament:
In the second game, Batesville utilized a significant third quarter to pull away with a 55-45 win over host JCD. Kaylin Kathman opened the scoring with a 3-pointer for Batesville. Reagan Hughes responded with a 3-pointer for JCD. Buckets by Alyson Peters and Lydia Haskamp gave the Lady Bulldogs a 7-4 lead. Kaylin Hinners' 3-pointer had JCD back even. Sophia Sullivan's steal and layup put JCD in front 9-7. Kathman added two more 3-pointers in the quarter for Batesville, and Hughes had one for JCD. Peters' bucket closed the first quarter with Batesville leading 15-14. After Peters hit two free throws for Batesville to extend the lead to three, JCD's Hughes drained another 3-pointer to start a 7-0 JCD run.
