In a thrilling showdown between two of the top teams in the Firelands Conference, New London emerged victorious with a dominant 64-32 win over South Central. The Ladycats, led by senior post Emilee Rowland, proved why they are the team to beat in the conference, outscoring their rivals in every quarter.
Rowland shone brightly, pouring in a game-high 21 points, including 11 in the first quarter as New London raced to a 21-2 lead. The Ladycats' ###sive onslaught continued throughout the game, outscoring South Central 19-11 in the third period and 60-29 in the fourth, prompting a running clock.
"We were focused on finishing at the rim, and that's exactly what we did," said New London coach Eric Mitchell. "South Central is a great team, and that score doesn't take away from how good they are.

The game was a tale of two halves as Mapleton shot a fiery 71% from the floor in the opening half with NW going 15 of 35 for 43%.
