Bolton Lads And Girls Club Fights To Save Counselling Service

Bolton Lads And Girls Club Fights To Save Counselling Service:

The Bolton Lads and Girls Club, a youth center founded in 1889, is fighting to save its counseling service, which is set to shut down at the end of March due to funding running out. Despite the high demand for the service, the charity could "quadruple" the service and still not meet the need.

Emma Hutchinson, the chief executive, and Sarah Randall, the deputy chief executive, spoke to The Bolton News about the impact of the service on young people.

According to Emma, the demand for mental health support among young people has been increasing significantly, even before the pandemic. The counseling service has been instrumental in providing much-needed support to young people in the area, and the charity is determined to find a way to keep it running.

Sarah added that the service has helped many young people overcome challenges and improve their mental health, and the charity is committed to continuing this vital work.

The Bolton Lads and Girls Club is now urging the local community to get involved and help save the counseling service.
