Hello, My Name Is: Paris Opelt

Paris Opelt, a senior at Neillsville High School in Wisconsin, credits her older sister Bella for teaching her everything she knows about basketball and how to be confident. According to Paris, her sister has been a big influence on her development as a player and a person. Paris shares a lot in common with her sister, including their team-first mentality.

When Paris scored her 1,000th career point in December, she downplayed the attention on her individual achievement and instead focused on her teammates and their success as a unit. In an interview with NewsChannel 7 in 2021, Bella Opelt discussed her own achievement of scoring her 1,000th career point and how she was thinking about her younger sister Paris at the time.

Like her sister, Paris values the importance of being a team player and is humble about her own accomplishments. When asked how she feels about being the center of attention, Paris replied that she would rather talk about her teammates and their collective achievements than herself individually.

NEILLSVILLE, Wis. (WSAW) - It's not uncommon for a younger sister to look up to her big sister. That's no exception for Paris Opelt, who credits a lot of her basketball development to her older sister Bella.
