Zenana, a 1980s female band from Milton Keynes, has signed a new record deal after their single was discovered in a second-hand shop. The band, consisting of Anita Gabrielle Tedder, Penny Griffiths, and Ruth Elder, formed in 1983 and disbanded in 1987. However, their music has recently gained renewed interest after their single "Witches" was found by a DJ.
Since their rediscovery, Zenana has been signed to Rush Hour Records, based in Amsterdam, and has started to perform again.
According to Ms. Tedder, the band's lead singer, the past few months have been a rollercoaster of emotions. "It's been a whirlwind experience since our single was found," she said. "We never expected to be signed to a record label again, let alone perform ### again."
Zenana played local pubs and clubs in Milton Keynes and Bedford, as well as larger venues in London such as the Hippodrome, Dingwalls, and Le Beat Route.

One of the most notable examples of this trend is the recent success of 80s-inspired music. Bands like Dua Lipa, Charli XCX, and The 1975 have all incorporated elements of 80s music into their sound, and have seen significant commercial success as a result.
