Neuroscience Expert Accused Of Sending Inappropriate Messages To Minor

A doctoral graduate of King's College London, a neuroscience expert with a background in academia, has been accused of attempting to send inappropriate messages to someone he believed was a 13-year-old girl. According to evidence presented in court, Patel engaged in a conversation with the individual, inquiring about their bra size and making suggestive comments, before ultimately sending a photo of a penis.

Unbeknownst to Patel, the individual was, in fact, "an undercover police officer." The accused is currently facing ongoing criminal proceedings. Despite the pending case... Patel completed his PhD in neuroscience at King's College London and has since been seeking employment in the field.

A neuroscience expert with a doctorate from King's College London was caught in an undercover sting trying to send sexually-charged messages to a teenage girl, a court heard.

In a conversation with a person he believed was a 13-year-old girl, Patel requested her bra size, asked if she was "a bit of a naughty girl", and suggested he would "love to see your bod".

Patel then sent a photo of a penis he had downloaded from the internet, unaware that the girl was actually an undercover police officer.

"You have had this hanging over your head and worrying about it for the last four years," she said.

Patel completed his PhD in neuroscience from King's College London – where he was also a lecturer – while the criminal case was still pending, and he is now seeking work in that field.
