The Rise and Fall of Innosense, the Girl Group In Between NSYNC and Britney Spears Lou Pearlman, the disgraced manager behind the success of *NSYNC and Backstreet Boys, had a ambitious endeavor to create a girl group that would rival the Spice Girls - known as Innosense. In 1998, when Britney Spears was just beginning her ascent to fame with "... Baby One More Time," she was an initial member of the group.

However, following her departure, the remaining members included Danay Ferrer, Mandy Ashford, Nikki DeLoach, Veronica Finn, and Amanda Latona. According to Melissa Moylan, a former representative of Pearlman, Innosense was designed to be an American version of the Spice Girls, "as highlighted in a 2002 New York Times Magazine profile." The group disbanded and Amanda Latona left to go solo... with Jenny Morris taking her place.
