In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, model Brooks Nader, 28, expressed her determination to compete with Olympic athlete Ilona Maher on the upcoming season of Dancing With the Stars. Despite both being Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover models, Nader acknowledges that Maher's athletic background gives her an advantage in the dance competition.
According to Yahoo Entertainment, Nader plans to focus on improving her stamina to catch up with Maher. (1) Nader, who won Sports Illustrated's Swim Search open casting call in 2019, has been featured in the magazine since 2020 and became an official cover girl in 2023. Yahoo Entertainment notes that Maher, an Olympic rugby player, starred on her own Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover in August and won the bronze medal with the U. S. women's sevens rugby team at the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics.
When asked about her experience with dance... Nader revealed that she danced in high school and enjoys dancing for herself every day, often in clubs, in front of the mirror, or in the shower. According to Entertainment Weekly, she likes to dance along to various music genres, including Britney Spears and "fun DJs." Despite having no professional dance experience, "Nader is confident in her ability to learn and improve throughout the competition." With practice and determination, "Nader is ready to give Maher a run for her money on the dance floor." As the competition approaches... fans of Dancing With the Stars are eagerly awaiting the formation of this dynamic duo and the thrilling dance routines they will perform.
The 28-year-old model tells EW she's determined to go toe-to-toe against the Olympian: ⁘I'm gonna work on my stamina. I have time!⁘ Brooks Nader and Olympian Ilona Maher may both be Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover models and Dancing With the Stars contestants, but Nader says she'll have to work a little harder if she wants to beat the Olympian in the ballroom.
