Nathan Dillion is the coach of the Terre Haute North girls' high school basketball team. He has led the team to a third-place finish in the North American Lighting Thanksgiving Tournament, with wins over Danville and Olney. Despite entering the tournament without a win, the Patriots won three straight games, including two on Saturday without starter Emma Martin, who is in the concussion protocol.

Jason Setliff is the coach of the Terre Haute South girls' high school basketball team. He has led the team to a fifth-place finish in the same tournament, "with wins over Champaign Central and Danville." The Braves tripled their win total on the day... despite starting with a 1-3 record.

Having the girls high school basketball teams from Terre Haute North and Terre Haute South both winning twice on the same day doesn't happen often, but it did Saturday when the Patriots finished third and the Braves fifth in the eight-team North American Lighting Thanksgiving Tournament. Host Paris was the runner-up, losing the championship game 50-37 to Teutopolis after routing Charleston earlier in the day. North's wins came over Danville (37-18) and Olney (54-41) while South beat Champaign Central (43-35) and Danville (37-28).
