During the stream, she scrabble around in the inspiration and production of the album's title track, a high-flying rock song that showcases her signature high notes. According to Taeyeon, the title track "Letter to Myself" was a challenging project.
Her label, SM Entertainment, had initially favored another song for the lead single, but the artist remained steadfast in her vision. "This is the song of my taste," she said. "Everybody in the company, other than me, liked the other song... but I got to sing the song, right? So, I dunno where I got the confidence, but I pushed for this song." This determination ultimately paid off, as the title track became the standout track of the EP. The EP, which consists of six tracks... including "Hot Mess," "Blue Eyes," "Strangers," "Blur," and "Disaster," expresses themes of reflection and strength.

"I love London," she said, reflecting on her time in the city. "But going there to work made it different. I had only been there for traveling, so for the first time, I went there for work purposes."
