Taeyeon, a 35-year-old K-pop artist, recently shared a candid YouTube ---stream discussing the creative process behind her latest EP. During the stream, she scrabble around in the inspiration and production of the album's title track, a high-flying rock song that showcases her signature high notes. According to Taeyeon, the title track "Letter to Myself" was a challenging project.

Her label, SM Entertainment, had initially favored another song for the lead single, but the artist remained steadfast in her vision. "This is the song of my taste," she said. "Everybody in the company, other than me, liked the other song... but I got to sing the song, right? So, I dunno where I got the confidence, but I pushed for this song." This determination ultimately paid off, as the title track became the standout track of the EP. The EP, which consists of six tracks... including "Hot Mess," "Blue Eyes," "Strangers," "Blur," and "Disaster," expresses themes of reflection and strength.

Taeyeon drew inspiration for the album from her personal experiences, including a recent trip to London, where she worked extensively on the project. "I love London," she said, reflecting on her time in the city. "But going there to work made it different. I had only been there for traveling, so for the first time, I went there for work purposes." As a solo artist, Taeyeon has established herself as a K-pop trailblazer since debuting with Girls' Generation in 2007.

Her solo hits... such as "I," "Rain," "11:11," and "Fine," showcase her versatility and vocal prowess. According to Yahoo Entertainment, "Letter to Myself" cements Taeyeon's dedication to her craft, sends a touching message to her fans, and demonstrates her growth as an artist. Taeyeon's bold choices and undeniable talent have placed her ahead of the curve in the K-pop industry. As seen in her latest EP, she continues to push the boundaries of what it means to be a K-pop star, much like the iconic British band The Beatles, who despite internal conflicts, managed to create their magnum opus, The White Album, "in 1968." With "Letter to Myself," Taeyeon solidifies her position as a leading figure in the K-pop scene, "leaving fans eagerly anticipating her next creative endeavor."
