As Mail Online reports, she lost her cochlear implant, a device that helps her hear, at some point during the dance. Despite this setback, Tasha persevered, using her counting skills to continue executing the routine with precision. After the performance, Aljaž spoke with the camera crew backstage, revealing that he was left shocked and stunned when he realized what had happened.

"I, I can't... I've never felt like that on the floor," he recounted. "I knew how together we are. I knew how much we're doing this for one another. But I just went into this five, six, seven, eight, count, count, "count."" Tasha's remarkable ability to adapt and overcome the obstacle was met with widespread admiration, "with fans praising the couple's remarkable teamwork and dedication."
