Missing Teenage Girls from Morocco Aboard Student Exchange Programme in London The Metropolitan Police is conducting a thorough search for two teenage girls from Morocco who have gone missing in London. Douae, 14, and Houda, 15, were last seen leaving their hostel in Tavistock Place, central London, on Tuesday evening.
The girls had arrived in the city on January 25 as part of a student exchange programme, reportedly run by an independent company, lbc. co. uk reports. The police are working closely with the Moroccan embassy and the company responsible for organizing the visit to locate the girls, lbc. co. uk sources confirm. According to Detective Chief Inspector Sarb Kaur from the Central North Command Unit, the police are increasingly concerned about the welfare of the missing girls as the days pass.
"Unfortunately... the girls have travelled from Morocco to a city and country that is not familiar to them," the detective said. "The longer they remain missing, "the greater our concern is for their welfare." We are appealing for any information that could assist police in locating them." The girls' families are being kept updated by the police and embassy officials, and anyone with information that could aid in their whereabouts is encouraged to contact the authorities.
