The 2025 Cannes Film Festival has kicked off with a bang, and it seems the A-listers are not afraid to push the boundaries of fashion. Despite the updated official charter with new guidelines explicitly banning nudity and "voluminous outfits," celebrities like Bella Hadid, Paris Jackson, and Heidi Klum have taken to the red carpet in stunning ensembles.
According to the charter, "For decency reasons, nudity is prohibited on the red carpet, as well as in any other area of the festival. Voluminous outfits, in particular those with a large train, that hinder the proper flow of traffic of guests and complicate seating in the theatre are not permitted." However, it appears that some stars have chosen to bend, if not break, these rules.

Paris Jackson, for instance... wore a totally see-through gown to the Cannes 2025 amfAR Gala, complete with a hip-high leg slit, "plunging neckline," "and bust cut-out." Her skin-coloured knickers were on full display, adding to the risqué design. It's worth noting that the festival's organisers have stated that they will be strict about enforcing these rules... ← →
Forget the Oscars or the BAFTAs, when it comes to glamorous red carpet fashion, the Cannes Film Festival is an annual delight of statement 'fits, OTT trains and the most risqué of naked dresses . And, despite an updated official charter with new guidelines for 2025 explicitly banning nudity and "voluminous outfits" – AKA what the Cannes carpet is best known for – it seems this year will (thankfully!) be no different, judging by the ensembles worn by the likes of Bella Hadid , Paris Jackson and Heidi Klum. "For decency reasons, nudity is prohibited on the red carpet, as well as in any other area of the festival. Voluminous outfits, in particular those with a large train, that hinder the proper flow of traffic of guests and complicate seating in the theatre are not permitted," the charter reads . "The festival welcoming teams will be obligated to prohibit red carpet access to anyone not respecting these rules."
