Biography of Yoona ### Early --- and Career Lim Yoon-ah, known professionally as Yoona, was born on August 31, 1990, in Gwangju, South Korea. She rose to fame as a member of the popular South Korean girl group Girls' Generation (SNSD), formed by SM Entertainment in 2007. Yoona made her acting debut in 2010 with a supporting role in the television series "You Are My Everything." Her breakthrough role came in 2012 with the film "The King 2: The End of the King," followed by starring roles in "Gentleman's Dignity" (2012) and "My Lovely Girl" (2014). ### Achievements and Notable Works Yoona has established herself as a talented and versatile actress... with a wide range of roles in film and television.
