Tina Turner And Mick Jagger's Electrifying Performance At Live Aid

The iconic duo of Tina Turner and Mick Jagger electrified the masses with their unforgettable performance at --- Aid on July 13, 1985. As the curtains drew open in Philadelphia, Turner, resplendent in a tight-fitting black leather ensemble, danced onto the stage alongside Jagger, who was just days shy of his 42nd birthday.

The pair's on-stage chemistry was undeniable as they belted out "State of Shock" and "It's Only Rock 'n' Roll (But I Like It)". The latter song saw Jagger shedding his shirt in a dramatic mid-performance costume change, before playfully tearing off Turner's skirt. In her book, "Turner recalled the incident.".. revealing that Jagger had been eyeing her outfit and had concocted a mischievous plan.

"Mick and I could never just stand there and sing — that wasn't us. We had to do something," she wrote. "He looked me over... 'Does that skirt come off?' he asked slyly. 'What?' was my startled reply." Turner also shared a fascinating anecdote about her early days as a young artist in the 1960s... when she helped Jagger refine his stage moves.

Tina Turner is a renowned Swiss-born American-born singer, songwriter, and actress. Born Anna Mae Bullock on November 26, 1939, in Brownsville, Tennessee, Turner rose to fame in the 1960s as the lead singer of the Ike & Tina Turner Revue. Her powerful voice, energetic stage presence, and hit songs like "River Deep - Mountain High" and "Proud Mary" made her a household name.

After a tumultuous marriage to Ike Turner, she launched a successful solo career in the 1980s, releasing the critically acclaimed album "Private Dancer" in 1984, which included hits like "What's Love Got to Do with It" and "Better Be Good to Me." Throughout her illustrious career, Turner has won numerous awards, including eight Grammy Awards, "and has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice.".. as a member of the Ike & Tina Turner Revue and as a solo artist.

Known as the "Queen of Rock 'n' Roll," Turner has performed with some of the biggest names in music... including her iconic duet with Mick Jagger at --- Aid in 1985.
