The Undropped Kit, a revolutionary new PE kit designed by ASICS in collaboration with Inclusive Sportswear and mental health charity Mind, aims to encourage more teenage girls to participate in sports. A study of 2,000 girls aged 14-16 found that 75% would find PE more enjoyable with comfortable kit, and 70% would be more inclined to participate.
The current PE kit often leaves girls feeling self-conscious and uncomfortable, leading to a significant drop-out rate. The Undropped Kit addresses these concerns by prioritizing comfort, choice, and confidence. Its three versatile components allow girls to focus on enjoying physical activity, rather than worrying about their attire.
One of the key features of the Undropped Kit is its adaptability. The sprinter shorts can be modified into a skort or looser shorts, catering to individual preferences. The kit is also designed to withstand various weather conditions, with packable and water-repellent features, a stowaway hood, and a detachable top layer.
The Undropped Kit also tackles period-related worries and issues with sweat absorption and visibility. The dark-colored fabric helps hide potential leaks, and concealed zip pockets provide a secure storage space for tampons or valuables.
