The Minnesota cross-country scene was abuzz with excitement as teams and individuals alike battled it out for top honors. In the girls' field, the New London-Sauk Centre (NLS) Wildcats dominated, with freshman phenom Kyla Vick leading the charge. Her blistering pace of 19 minutes, 30. 0 seconds, left her teammates and competitors in the dust.
Teammate Taylor Munsch, a senior, followed closely behind, clocking a respectable 19:50. 7. The Wildcats' triumph was rounded out by sophomore Hazel Vetsch, who placed eighth with a time of 20:32. 6, junior Stella Moline, who took 14th with a 21:12. 8, and sophomore Sydney Peltier, who finished 16th at 21:25. 2. The Wildcats' impressive performance earned them a ranking of second in the Week 3 standings, as decided by the Minnesota Cross Country Coaches Association. Minnewaska's girls, led by freshman Nori Song, who secured 10th place with a time of 20:43. 8, took fourth with 139 points.
