Bristol City Women Footballers Empower Young Girls At Community Football Session

In a heartwarming display of community engagement, Bristol City Women's football team members Lexi Lloyd-Smith, Harley Bennett, and Malaika Meena recently visited the St Pauls Community Sports Academy. They participated in a free girls' football session organized by the Bristol City Robins Foundation, a program aimed at providing a safe space for women and girls to develop their skills and stay active.

The session, which takes place every Thursday from 4:30-5:30 pm during term time, is part of the Foundation's F3 project. This initiative runs free sessions across Bristol, fostering a sense of community and promoting physical activity among women and girls. For Malaika Meena and Lexi Lloyd-Smith, this visit marked their second interaction with the girls.

Earlier in the year, they had attended an Iftar event organized by the Central Bristol Youth Council. The Iftar, a gathering that brings people together to break their fast during Ramadan, had left a lasting impression on the players and the participants. According to one participant, the Iftar event was a resounding success, highlighting the importance of such community-driven initiatives.
