The UK girl group FLO has achieved a historic milestone, becoming the first British female R&B act in 20 years to receive a Grammy nomination. Their debut project, "Access All Areas," has earned them a nod for Best Progressive R&B Album, a testament to their unique sound and growing global recognition. This achievement marks a significant moment for British R&B, as FLO joins the ranks of international artists like Sabrina Carpenter, Kaytranada, and Justin Bieber. The trio, comprising Jorja Douglas, Stella Quaresma, and Renée Downer, brings together distinct voices and talents.

Jorja Douglas, a Hertfordshire-born powerhouse vocalist, gained attention after winning CBBC's Got What It Takes in 2017. Stella and Renée, old acquaintances from their London days, formed the group in 2019 and signed with Island Records, a division of Universal Music Group. Following a successful audition, Jorja joined the group, and they spent months honing their sound before releasing "Cardboard Box," the song that catapulted them into the limelight in 2022. FLO's journey to Grammy recognition was paved with notable achievements.
