New London Girls' Basketball Team Defends Home Court in Firelands Clash with Mapleton In a thrilling matchup, the New London Wildcats girls' basketball team emerged victorious, defeating the Mapleton Mounties 51-40 in a Firelands Conference clash on Saturday. Senior Raeann Mitchell, who tore her ACL on the same court a year prior, showed no signs of hesitation as she dove for loose balls and battled for every rebound, despite wearing a leg brace.
According to Mitchell, her past experience did not cross her mind during the game.
