The Tyler Lady Lions improved their record to 5-0 in District 15-5A with a 93-30 victory over the Marshall Lady Mavericks on Friday. The Lady Lions will host Whitehouse on Tuesday at 7 p.m. The Lady Mavericks will visit Marshall on Tuesday.
In other girls basketball action, Brownsboro defeated the Athens Lady Hornets 54-18 in a District 16-4A game. Spring Hill trailed 12-1 after the first quarter but held the Lady Hornets to just one point in the second quarter and trailed 13-9 at halftime. The Bearettes took a 20-17 lead into the final quarter, with Elizabeth Corbitt scoring 10 of her game-high 13 points in the second half. Claire Fielder added eight points, Kaylee Londeau six, and Savannah Irwin three.
