Editorial information: The Covent Garden Hotel in Monmouth Street was where I decided to stay for my weekend getaway in London. My friend had recommended the hotel, and he had a wonderful time there on his honeymoon, so I had high hopes. I was not disappointed. The hotel's Loft Suite was the perfect place to relax and unwind after a long day of exploring the city.
I had a special connection to the area around Covent Garden, as it was where I worked in the fashion department of Honey magazine in the 1970s. I would often walk through the bustling fruit and vegetable market on my way to work, and I even took a few dance lessons at The Dance Centre in Floral Street with the renowned choreographer Arlene Phillips.
It was great to be back in the area after all these years and to experience the vibrant atmosphere that Covent Garden has to offer.
The Covent Garden Hotel exceeded my expectations in every way. The room was spacious and comfortable, with a beautiful view of the city. (Return for further information.)
