In an interview with Fox News Digital, Harper credited her plant-based diet as the secret to her confidence and beauty in swimwear. "I --- in California, the mecca for that kind of eating," she joked. "So, it hasn't been too hard. But it's a choice I made to just eat vegetables. … For me, it was an easy choice, and it makes me feel so good.
I feel like I'm glowing from the inside out just eating that type of food. … And I have a fun time trying to come up with more plant-forward recipes." However... Harper acknowledged that going plant-based wasn't always easy. She didn't have to make drastic changes to get in shape for her Sports Illustrated spread, "as her usual routine had already given her plenty of confidence." Nevertheless, she emphasized the importance of stocking up on fruits and vegetables and reducing animal products in her diet.
Harper was discovered by Sports Illustrated through the Swim Search open casting call in 2021 and went on to become a co-winner of the competition. She has since become a regular feature in the magazine... including her latest appearance in the 2024 issue.

The new issue of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit was published May 17 with seven covers. For her spread, Harper insisted she didn't have to take on a new diet to get in shape. Her usual routine had given her plenty of confidence. But stocking up on fruits and veggies over animal products hasn't always been easy, she admitted.
